A leading FMCG manufacturing and distribution business in Papua New Guinea is seeking an accomplished Head of Sales to drive national growth, build sales capability, and strengthen commercial performance across multiple product categories. Reporting to the CEO, this executive role leads a large national team and shapes the strategy that will define the next phase of market expansion across PNG’s traditional trade, modern trade, and HORECA channels.Key Responsibilities Lead, mentor, and develop a high-performing national sales and merchandising team. Design and execute sales strategies to achieve revenue, profit, and market share growth. Collaborate with the CEO and Executive Team to shape commercial and operational plans. Build and maintain strong relationships with key distributors, wholesalers, and retail partners. Use data and insights to drive pricing, promotions, and channel development. Ensure route-to-market and trade marketing strategies deliver across multiple FMCG categories. Drive continuous improvement in systems, structure, and sales process discipline.Requirements Minimum 10 years’ FMCG sales leadership experience, preferably across multiple categories. Strong commercial acumen and experience managing diverse SKU portfolios. Proven success leading large, distributed teams in competitive markets. Excellent stakeholder, communication, and negotiation skills. Data-driven, results-focused, and collaborative leadership style.
