SummaryReporting to the Regional Exec Director or Sub-Regional Director of Supply Chain, and with a dotted line reporting relationship to the Market GM, this role establishes, maintains, and improves supply chain capability within the market by ensuring continuous supply in the right quantity to the right location at the right time in a cost-effective manner. Key areas of responsibility include: (a) demand planning with country-level Commercial Sales/Marketing and the Finance organizations, (b) supply and production planning of commercial products, and (c) management of the relationship with our commercial partners/customers.As a senior Amgen Manager, the role must Integrate, Adapt, Inspire and Accelerate, to make Amgen future ready.Integrate – Collaborate with stakeholders throughout our supply chain to deliver for our patients.Adapt – Be centred on external environmental factors to help us adapt our processes quickly and react to and manage supply chain issues.Inspire – Gain inspiration from the Amgen mission and inspire others through resilience and delivery of results.Accelerate – Have an insatiable desire to be competitive and win.]Specific ResponsibilitiesCountry-Level Demand Planning: Accountable for the unit demand forecasting, inventory management, and improvement of the overall demand/supply risk profileFacilitate the Integrated Business Planning ('IBP') and Sales & Operations Planning ('S&OP') process in collaboration with Commercial and Finance organizations.Manage flow – Deliver the right product, at the right quality, at the right time (product flow). Assure accurate and timely communications, and data integrity (information flow).Optimize inventory holding – Optimize safety stock levels and mitigate stock-out/scrap risks by managing replenishment plans to first-economic customers, e.g., wholesalers, distributors, partners.Possess a detailed understanding of internal/external inventory policies and requirements.Convey appropriate demand signals during monthly planning cycle via Rapid Response system.Clearly communicate country-specific demand trends and drivers to the global supply chain network.Successfully launch new products – Support and enable the Commercial ambition in the market and manage the lifecycle of existing products.Appropriately escalate issues with potential financial impactDevelop supply transition plans for product/SKU-specific variations (CMC, labeling) with key stakeholders from Supply Chain, Quality, Regulatory Affairs, Marketing.Conduct scenario and long-range/10-year demand planning on an as-needed basis.If the market falls within SOX guidelines, be the Process Owner (PO) for the SOX process.Manage Market SCM Team: Accountable for the COL, Logistics Management and Customer Services to the FEC (First Economic Customer).Manage the team members in their regular tasks, helping them to prioritize and work efficiently.Lead the team to problem solve and continuously improve.Be the decision-maker for the team and escalate issues as appropriate.Manage team performance, drive the business KPIs to meet or exceed targets, and be accountable to Commercial for supply continuity.
