Head of Solution Development Krungsri Nimble – Mobile & Web Banking Platforms (Retail & Corporate) Location: Krungsri Headquarters (Rama 3) + Hybrid Work (1–3 days/week WFH)Scope Size: 100+ Engineers (Engineering Managers, Team Leaders, Software Engineers)1. Role Purpose The Head of Solution Development is the senior engineering leader responsible for overseeing and transforming Krungsri Nimble's engineering organization. This team builds and operates mobile and web digital banking applications for both retail and corporate customers.The role emphasizes people leadership, enhancing organizational maturity, ensuring delivery excellence, maintaining engineering governance, and building long-term capabilities. It is not a hands-on coding position; instead, it is a strategic leadership role that requires strong communication skills, the ability to influence others, and the capability to shape engineering culture and alignment across the organization.You will lead engineering managers and team leaders, enhance engineering discipline, and ensure that engineering teams communicate effectively with business stakeholders while delivering high-quality customer-facing digital products used by millions.2. Key Responsibilities A. People Leadership & Organization Development Lead and mentor Engineering Managers (EMs) and Engineering Team Leaders (ETLs) across mobile and web platform squads.Build leadership maturity, communication capability, and decision-making confidence across the engineering hierarchy.Address underperformance through structured expectations, coaching, or repositioning.Build a culture of ownership, accountability, clarity, and constructive communication.Foster strong collaboration across PO, PM, Architecture, QA, DevOps, Tech Supports, Security, and Business/Product teams.B. Delivery Accountability — Mobile & Web Banking Own end-to-end delivery across multiple squads and business domains:Oversee delivery timelines, capacity planning, and resource allocation accuracy.Improve predictability and reduce misalignment between engineering and business stakeholders.Set clear delivery KPIs: cycle time, throughput, quality metrics, and release readiness.Ensure engineering teams follow clear workflows, planning practices, and weekly delivery discipline.Align delivery commitments with business and product expectations across retail and corporate channels.C. Engineering Governance & Technical Direction Provide technical leadership at a governance, standards, and decision-making level (not hands-on coding):Validate and approve key technical approaches, ensuring architecture coherence and quality.Champion engineering standards: code review, design review, documentation, testing quality, and release discipline.Support the adoption of modern engineering practices without needing to write code.Ensure engineering decisions align with Krungsri Group's technology strategy and architecture guidelines.D. Quality & Reliability Leadership Ensure long-term stability and reliability of key banking applications:Oversee validation, unit testing, and release processes for customer-facing platforms.Define expectations for operational readiness, performance, and non-functional requirements.Ensure consistent learning from issues through structured post-event review processes.Strengthen resilience, stability, and cross-team coordination to reduce the customer-impacting problems.E. Innovation & Capability Building Lead continuous improvement and technological advancement within the engineering organization:Evaluate and pilot new engineering tools, frameworks, and automation opportunities (e.g., SDK, AI-assisted development, deployment automation).Drive modernization efforts that improve engineering efficiency and product quality.Ensure the engineering capability evolves to remain competitive, scalable, and aligned with the bank's long-term digital roadmap.Promote a culture of innovation, curiosity, and engineering craftsmanship.3. Ideal Candidate Profile Leadership Strengths Proven leader of 80–150+ engineers through EM/TL layers.Excellent communication skills—able to speak clearly with both technical and business audiences.Strong ability to represent engineering confidently in senior discussions.Skilled in expectation alignment, negotiation, and leading through influence.Comfortable leading change across people, process, and culture.Technical Literacy (High-Level, Not Hands-On) Understands mobile and web application delivery at an architecture and workflow level.Familiar with SDLC, DevOps practices, CI/CD principles, and quality assurance frameworks.Knowing "how things should work" is essential; writing code is not required.Able to evaluate technical risk, quality, and solution soundness through structured questions.Technology Environment (Context Awareness Required; Not Hands-On): Mobile: Flutter (primary framework for iOS & Android banking applications)Web Applications: Angular (front-end framework for retail and corporate web channels)Backend & APIs: Java Spring Boot (core services), Microsoft .NET (supporting and legacy modernization areas)Database: Microsoft SQL Server (core transactional database engine)Infrastructure & Deployment: Red Hat OpenShift (container orchestration and enterprise deployment)DevOps & Automation: Modern CI/CD pipelines, automated testing, and standard release workflows4.
