We are hiring on behalf of our client:Head of Industrial Projects, Southeast AsiaLocation: Singapore / MalaysiaDepartment: Industrial Projects & Freight ForwardingReports To: Global Head, Freight & Project ForwardingAbout the RoleWe are seeking an experienced and entrepreneurial Head of Industrial Projects to lead and expand our project logistics business across Southeast Asia. The ideal candidate will combine strong commercial acumen with hands-on experience in complex logistics and heavy-lift operations. You will drive regional growth through business development, strategic partnerships, and operational excellence.Key ResponsibilitiesCommercial & Business DevelopmentDevelop and implement the commercial strategy for the Industrial Projects vertical in Southeast Asia.Identify, pursue, and convert new business opportunities within key industries such as Oil & Gas, Mining, and Energy.Establish and nurture relationships with clients, vendors, and strategic partners.Leverage existing networks and build new partnerships to expand market share and regional footprint.Develop proposals and pricing strategies for complex project logistics and transportation bids.Strategic & Leadership ResponsibilitiesLead and manage the Project Forwarding business unit for Southeast Asia, including budgeting, financial performance, and regional expansion.Support project teams globally for assignments originating from or destined for Asia Pacific.Contribute to the long-term growth strategy of the business through regional planning, investment analysis, and network development.Operational & Execution OversightOversee the planning and execution of heavy-lift and over-dimensional cargo projects across borders.Coordinate with internal operations, vendors, and overseas teams to ensure safe and efficient project delivery.Manage procurement of transport and ocean freight rates for import/export cargo.Resolve operational issues in collaboration with partners, service providers, and internal stakeholders.Collaboration & ReportingWork closely with cross-functional teams across regions to deliver integrated logistics solutions.Prepare regular performance reports, including EBIT and business unit updates.Promote company culture, values, and compliance standards in all regional activities.RequirementsDegree or diploma in Logistics, Supply Chain, or related field.At least 5 years of project logistics or heavy-lift operations experience within Asia.Proven track record in business development and customer relationship management.Strong understanding of breakbulk, OOG (out-of-gauge), and project cargo logistics.Excellent negotiation, interpersonal, and communication skills.Ability to lead multicultural teams and work effectively in a fast-paced environment.Proficient in Microsoft Office and project management tools.Willingness to travel and support projects across Southeast Asia.Preferred AttributesEntrepreneurial mindset with strong commercial flair.Analytical, resourceful, and solutions-driven.Confident in handling complex logistics challenges.Positive attitude, adaptable, and highly motivated to grow a regional business.Sharon NgTalenta Consultants Pte LtdEA License No. 23C1796
