From the atelier in Stockholm, we create collections spanning ready-to-wear, shoes, bags, accessories and jewelry.The roleTOTEME is looking for a Head of Store Design and Development to join our Stockholm team for a parental leave cover of approximately 10 months, starting in March 2026. In this role, you will be responsible for leading our retail development projects, from design brief and concepting, through construction, to opening day. The role encompasses all sales related physical appearance of the brand, from large flagship stores in fashion capitals, standalone stores, shop-in-shops, wholesale soft shops, retail or wholesale pop-ups and showrooms. You will report to the CEO.ResponsibilitiesEmbody and interpret the Chief Branding Officer’s and external architect’s vision, guiding projects from concept to completion. Lead the architectural concept design process in close collaboration with the Chief Branding Officer. Oversee all physical commercial development initiatives from ideation to launch, ensuring effective time, process, stakeholder, and budget management. Serve as the primary point of contact for external partners, including architects, general contractors, and furniture suppliers, as well as internal stakeholders and cross-functional teams. Collaborate with interior designers, retail experience, and visual merchandising teams to create cohesive and inspiring spatial experiences for our customers. Take ownership of project budgets and ensure financial accountability throughout each phase. Ensure that all equipment, furniture, and fixtures are delivered and installed according to schedule. Coordinate with relevant teams to provide timely information for store openings, supporting photoshoots, press events, and strong product assortments. Participate in and contribute to TOTEME’s social and environmental sustainability strategy. Your profileExperience in a similar role within architecture, retail design, or a related field, with strong project management skills. Relevant academic background. Excellent time management and organizational skills, with experience managing multiple projects simultaneously. Strong ability to interpret and execute creative briefs with precision and attention to detail. Strong spatial understanding and awareness of consumer behavior within physical environments to guide layout, flow, and functionality. Flexible and confident communicator with experience collaborating effectively with both internal teams and external partners such as contractors, producers, and vendors. Adaptable and solution-oriented, with the ability to remain calm and focused when facing changes or obstacles. About YouA driven and hands-on leader with a passion for design and brand experience.
