Head of Supply Chain and Planning– Serres Role OverviewHead of Supply Chain and Planning is part of Serres Global Operations, which is responsible for high quality manufacturing, timely deliveries to meet our customer needs, efficient procurement and supply chain operations, effective maintenance and continuous development of our manufacturing technology, building a safe and sustainable way of working.As Head of Supply Chain and Planning, together with your team you will have end-to-end responsibility for supply chain operations and the continuous improvement of processes. You contribute to Serres strategy to improve Serres value chain through driving efficient Sales and Operations Planning Optimization and developing scalable supply chain processes. The role is best based in Kauhajoki or Saarijärvi, though Espoo or other locations are possible with regular presence at the factories.Key responsibilities include:Lead and develop the Supply Chain and Planning organization and processes, covering Sales and Operations Planning, Supply Network Planning, Production Planning, Procurement and Sourcing as well as Warehouse and Logistics operations and work in close alignment with the Sales Operations team (under Sales & Marketing).Develop and manage sourcing and procurement organization and processes.Establish and develop efficient inbound and outbound logistics and warehouse operations.Lead and develop production, inventory and capacity planning.Drive the Sales and Operations Planning process: define, implement and lead end-to-end planning, aligning demand and supply, integrating sales forecasts, production and inventory plans.Facilitate Sales and Operations Planning meetings and Executive S&OP reviews to align stakeholders.Conduct risk and scenario planning using data and analytics to support data driven decision-making.Develop KPIs, monitor performance and identify improvement opportunities to optimize inventory, working capital and manufacturing variability and ensuring delivery accuracy. Support maximizing Total Effective Equipment Performance and cost effectiveness.Lead strategic initiatives to improve efficiency, delivery accuracy and cost levels and advance lean principles.Ensure effective communication across functions.Lead and develop competencies in the Supply Chain and Planning team.Safeguard the safety and sustainability of daily operations. Required Skills & ExperienceUniversity degree in Business, Engineering or Logistics.7–10 years of experience in supply chain management, including demand, supply and inventory planning in manufacturing industry.Experience in warehouse and logistics management.Analytical approach and strong understanding of sales, demand and supply planning, with proven ability to connect analytics, KPIs and performance measures.Track record in process definition, implementation and change management.Understanding of key sustainability elements and practices in supply chain management.Knowledge of modern ERP and planning systems.Leadership experience in supply chain and cross-functional teams.Excellent collaboration and communication skills, adaptable to diverse audiences including senior leadership.Knowledge of lean principles and methodologies is an advantage.Ability to be present regularly at both Kauhajoki and Saarijärvi factory sites.Proficiency in Finnish and English; ability to work seamlessly in both languagesWhy Join Serres?
