Lead the tech heartbeat of Te Reo Tātaki : TVNZDrive strategy across infrastructure, cloud, service management, vendor partnerships, and digital workplace innovation.Are you ready to shape the future of how we work, connect, and deliver.The opportunity - Te tūrangaIn this senior role as Head of Technology Operations, you will be responsible for the strategic and technical leadership of TVNZ’s technology infrastructure, cloud platforms, service management, technology vendor partnerships, and digital workplace services.The role combines operational excellence with technical and delivery leadership - ensuring system reliability and security, driving modernisation through AI and automation, managing budgets and vendor performance, and championing digital employee experiences.Reporting to the GM Technology, this role leads a high-performing team to deliver secure, resilient, and cost-effective technology services that power TVNZ’s broadcasting and digital operations while enabling a productive, connected, and modern hybrid workforce.What we're looking for - Tā mātou e kimi neiTo be successful in this role, we are looking for10+ years’ IT experience, including 5+ years in senior leadership roles managing enterprise IT operations, infrastructure, and digital workplace functions.Proven record leading digital transformation and modernisation while maintaining secure, resilient, and always-on systems.Strong technical expertise across hybrid IT environments, including on-premises infrastructure, multi-cloud platforms (Azure, AWS), networking, and disaster recovery.Commercially leader with experience managing large budgets, vendor contracts, and technology investments to deliver measurable value and ROI.Deep understanding of Microsoft 365, Teams, SharePoint, Copilot, and Power Platform, driving adoption and workplace productivity.Skilled in IT service management (ITIL) with focus on operational excellence, reliability, and continuous improvement.Strong grasp of cybersecurity, risk management, and compliance frameworks (ISO 27001, GDPR, Privacy Act).Proven ability to align technology strategy with business and content goals, balancing innovation, cost, and performance.Exceptional people leadership, stakeholder engagement, and communication skills across technical and executive levels.Bachelor’s degree in IT or related field; ITIL, Microsoft, or AWS certifications desirable.
