Manager - Bank Relationships and Distribution - Trade FinanceLocation: Dubai, United Arab Emirates. Purpose of the Role:In the course of its diversified business in Commodity Trading, Trade Credit, and Procurement, our client originates a wide range of trade receivables, predominantly issued by banks in emerging markets.The Manager – Bank Relationships and Distribution role is responsible for cultivating robust relationships with existing and new banking partners, as well as distributing the portfolio of trade assets and receivables to these financial institutions. Deal structuring, product development and continuous market expansion are central to the distribution.Responsibilities & Accountabilities:Engage in daily interactions with a roster of partner Banks, Insurers and DFIs to show prospective and/or existing transactions, gather indications of interest and firm pricing, negotiate favourable commercial terms, and close deals.Function as the primary coordinator to facilitate the transaction process from the distribution end, liaising with both internal and external stakeholders.Ensure that the execution of every transaction aligns with the terms agreed with the counterparty bank.Spearhead coordination with stakeholders to update transaction documentation with counterparties (e.g. Trade Credit Agreements).Uncover and nurture cross-selling opportunities and fresh prospects within the distribution bank portfolio.Oversee product development initiatives, steering projects from inception to rollout.Manage administrative duties essential for the systematic tracking and execution of business activities across distinct functions.Perform any other tasks deemed necessary for the competent fulfilment of your duties and the progressive development of the business.Core Competencies, Qualifications and Experience:Minimum 5 - 10 years of bank-facing Asset Distribution experience in an international bank or a commodity trading company.The candidate must have bank-facing frontline experience, evidenced by an existing Rolodex of bank contacts. Candidates with only client-facing trade finance experience will not be considered.Demonstrates a solid understanding of commodity trading business, encompassing operations, logistics, and the commercial dimension.Exhibits a strong drive and discipline to work within an entrepreneurial culture, maintaining focus in a dynamic, fast-paced environment, coupled with an appetite to overcome challenges.Effective and assertive communication abilities, capable of conveying information concisely and persuasively.Proven negotiation skills, facilitating successful discussions and agreements.Fluent in English. Advanced proficiency in additional languages is an advantage.Possesses the capacity to thrive while managing a significant workload, characterised by varying content and scope.
