You’ll be responsible for developing and executing growth strategies, expanding our client base, and positioning Merchant West as the partner of choice for businesses seeking working capital solutions.ResponsibilitiesLead and grow the Working Capital division in line with Merchant West’s strategic objectives.Develop and implement business development and sales strategies that drive profitability and market share.Leverage strong industry networks to originate new opportunities and close complex deals.Build and lead a high-performing team focused on client relationships, deal structuring, and execution.Work closely with internal stakeholders to ensure operational excellence and product innovation.Develop and implement strategyQualificationsPost graduate finance or equivalent - preferableKnowledge of WC products, namely: Single Invoice, Full Book Discounting, Trade Finance and Structured Trade and Commodity Finance and Purchase orders - preferableExperienceProven experience in working capital finance, trade finance, invoice discounting, or related lending products.A strong track record in sales leadership, business development, and deal origination.Minimum 5 years in senior management positionMinimum 5 years’ experience in working capital solutions (Preferable)Experience in sales and business development, preferably within working capital.Experience working across regional teams and supporting national sales efforts.SkillsStrategic thinker with a bias for action and an entrepreneurial mindset.Excellent relationship builder with extensive industry networks and a reputation for delivery.Inspirational leader who can motivate and develop a team to achieve ambitious growth targets.Exceptional Communication both written and spokenProject managementCreative approach to workAbility to accept responsibilityRelationship ManagementSolution ManagementFinancial AnalysisStrategic thinking and commercial acumen.Strong leadership and stakeholder engagement skills.Excellent negotiation, communication, and relationship-building abilities.Ability to develop and execute strategies.Job BenefitsTailored Staff Financial Wellness OfferingEmployee Wellness ProviderProfessional Development OpportunitiesRich Organisational Culture
