Job DescriptionLocation: TBCJob Opportunity: Coordinator – Humanitarian Assistance (Assisted Passage Programme)Location: Melbourne, office-basedAre you highly organised, detail-oriented, and passionate about making a difference in humanitarian operations? We’re looking for a Coordinator to join our Humanitarian Assistance team and support the delivery of the Assisted Passage Programme (APP) — a vital initiative that helps individuals safely navigate complex ground transit situations around the world. About The RoleAs a Coordinator, you’ll play a key role in planning and coordinating ground transit tasks, working closely with internal teams and international partners to ensure smooth, safe, and efficient operations.

You’ll be part of a collaborative, mission-driven environment, liaising with case managers, ground teams, and coordination desks in the UK and North America. In line with business requirements of our follow-the-sun operational model, shifts are worked Monday to Friday (including Public Holidays) rostered between the hours of 08: 30 to 19: 30. There may be a requirement on occasions to work weekends, which will be discussed and mutually agreed. What We’re Looking ForThis is an entry-level role, ideal for someone with strong attention to detail, a problem-solving mindset, and a passion for helping others.

You’ll need to be process-driven but also able to think on your feet when situations evolve. Key Skills & ExperienceExperience in customer service (face-to-face, phone, email, or messaging platforms) is highly valued. Familiarity with CRM or case management systems is a plus. Ability to work effectively in small, collaborative teams — including remote coordination. Strong communication skills in English, with the ability to work across cultures and time zones. Comfortable using MS Office, especially Excel; quick to learn new tools and systems. Awareness of regional security dynamics (Africa, Asia-Pacific, LATAM) is an advantage.

Experience in humanitarian, medical, or security assistance is helpful but not required. QualificationsNo specific qualifications are required — we’re looking for the right mindset, skills, and willingness to learn. Why Join Us?You’ll be part of a purpose-driven team working on meaningful global challenges. This is a great opportunity to gain hands-on experience in humanitarian logistics and coordination, with room to grow and develop your career. As we are expecting a high level of interest in the role, the advert may be closed sooner than advertised.

Guiding ground teams and monitoring live task progress via chat and other communication tools. Maintaining awareness of the operating environment, including security and logistics. Completing post-task administration, including invoice and expense processing. Participating in daily handovers to ensure seamless case management across time zones. Skills NeededAbout The CompanyWe offer UK employee healthcare benefits, and travel, medical and security assistance in every corner of the globe.

Our purpose is to help people in difficult situations – whether that’s a cancer diagnosis, a need for medical assistance when they’re far from home, or being caught up in conflict or natural disaster. We talk to them, support them, and make sure they get the help they need. If necessary, we’ll pull them out and bring them home. We’re co-ordinators and problem-solvers: experts at navigating the global health and security landscape.

Our teams of doctors, nurses, travel and medical co-ordinators and security experts make sure that your people will be looked after, whatever happens supported by technology designed help individuals, not slot them into a predetermined solution. We work with governments, broadcasters, NGOs, international corporations, major insurers and more. No two clients are the same: we adapt our services to their needs. More importantly, we adapt to the practical and human needs of the individuals we protect. Most of us are on the front line; we keep our back office lean.

We don’t use scripts, and we don’t time calls. We never lose sight of the fact that we’re dealing with real people. Company CultureInstead, we focus on ensuring our highly trained specialists have the space and time they need to be effective. We let them use their initiative to get the job done, because the situations they face often throw up unexpected challenges – and no protocol survives contact with the real world. Our clients have thousands of employees and customers, at home and abroad, so they need a business big enough to handle any situation.

But they chose Healix because they also need an organisation that’s personal enough to care. Our people are driven to do things in the best way, not the way they have always been done. We work hard, and our efforts are rewarded with great development opportunities and a supportive team spirit. We want to nurture this friendly and dynamic company culture so that we can continue to attract diverse talent with a breadth of knowledge and world-class skills.

As a part of Healix, you can expect a range of excellent benefits and an environment where people really do care.
