O'Neill & Brennan are working on behalf of a well-established civil engineering contractor with a strong track record of delivering high-profile infrastructure and groundworks projects across Central London. Due to a healthy pipeline of work and ongoing growth, they are looking to appoint an experienced Health and Safety Advisor to join their team on a permanent basis. This is a fantastic opportunity for a driven H&S professional looking to join a reputable business that genuinely prioritises health, safety, and well-being across all its operations.The Role:The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing health and safety across multiple live sites, ensuring full compliance with industry standards and legislation. You'll play a key role in promoting a positive safety culture, working closely with site teams, subcontractors, and management to ensure best practices are consistently upheld.Key Responsibilities:Conducting regular site inspections and auditsAdvising site teams on health, safety, and environmental mattersReviewing and supporting the development of RAMSInvestigating incidents, near misses, and accidents, and producing thorough reportsDelivering site inductions, toolbox talks and safety briefingsMonitoring and reporting on H&S KPIsLiaising with clients and regulatory bodies where requiredSupporting the ongoing improvement of the company’s HSEQ systems Candidate Requirements:NEBOSH Construction CertificateMinimum 3 years experience in a health and safety role within UK Construction or Civil EngineeringSolid understanding of CDM Regulations and HSE best practicesStrong communication and interpersonal skillsComfortable working across multiple sites in Central LondonFull UK driving licenceIOSH membership or working towards – desirable
