Health And Safety Consultant

OverviewWe are seeking an experienced Health and Safety Manager to oversee all safety-related activities on a large-scale Data Center construction project located in Eskilstuna, Sweden. The role requires strong leadership, knowledge of local and EU health & safety legislation, and the ability to drive a positive safety culture on site.Key ResponsibilitiesDevelop, implement, and maintain the project-specific Health & Safety Plan.Conduct regular site inspections, audits, and risk assessments.Ensure compliance with Swedish Work Environment Authority (Arbetsmiljöverket) regulations and all relevant EU directives.Lead incident investigations and prepare detailed reports with corrective actions.Deliver safety training and toolbox talks to site personnel and subcontractors.Liaise with project management, client representatives, and external bodies regarding safety performance.Monitor subcontractor compliance and enforce project safety standards.Maintain accurate safety documentation, permits, and records.Drive continuous improvement initiatives and promote a proactive safety culture.RequirementsDegree or certification in Occupational Health & Safety or a related field.Minimum 5 years’ experience in a similar role within construction, ideally on data center or large industrial projects.Strong knowledge of Swedish H&S regulations and EU standards.Experience in high-risk construction environments (MEP installation, lifting operations, civil works).Excellent communication and leadership skills.Ability to work on-site full time in Eskilstuna.Fluency in English; Swedish language skills are an advantage.Additional Skills & CompetenciesStrong analytical and reporting skills.Proactive and solutions-focused mindset.Ability to manage multiple stakeholders.Familiarity with digital safety systems and reporting tools.Contract DetailsLocation: Eskilstuna, SwedenProject Type: Data Center ConstructionContract Type: Full-time Freelance Contract Role
