Kandahar Home is a home in every sense of the word.Mō te tūranga - About the roleWe are looking for a Health Care Assistant to work day shifts 7am to 3.30pm 32 hours per week. As a Health Care Assistant, you will be responsible for providing support to our residents in their daily living and social requirements. You will also encourage residents to maintain their independence and make decisions for themselves.Your Key Responsibilities Will BeDeliver the highest standard of personalised care to every Resident Support and encourage residents to maintain their independence and make decisions for themselves Assist and support the activities of daily living in a way that meets the Eden principles and the Domains of Wellbeing Working under the supervision and direction of the RN.Ensure resident’s needs are attended to effectively and in a timely manner Mō koe - About YouSkillsAs well as a passion for the wellbeing of older people, you will be enthusiastic but patient and well organised with great interpersonal skills. You will share our values of empathy, compassion, and respect.
