Located 15 kilometres south-west of Singleton in the beautiful Hunter Valley region of New South Wales, MTW relies on both dragline and load haul systems for their continuous operations. The MTW Mine is the largest open cut operation in the region, employing approximately 1,450 people who reside in the local and surrounding communities.Job Tasks And ResponsibilitiesThis role will require you to:Provide support to the Senior Health & Injury Management Specialist to manage the Injury Management records and system and non-work-related injuries.Development, implementation, and monitoring of individual Return to Work Plans in consultation with relevant stakeholdersCoordination of suitable duties and workplace adjustments to support safe and sustainable return to work outcomesMaintain accurate and confidential case management records and ensure compliance with injury management legislationProvide timely updates and reports to management on claim status, progress, and outcomes.Assist with the health-related documentation including pre-employment medicals and scheduling of periodic medicals, worker compliance with legislative requirements, contractor medicals,fitness for work assessments, health surveillance, and immunisation records.Assist with the coordination of bookings, records, and communication with external health providers and internal stakeholders.Skills And ExperienceThe successful candidates will display the Yancoal – ‘Our Way’ behaviours in everyday practice and fosters a ‘One Team’ culture. To be successful in the role you will also display the following skills and attributes:Essential CriteriaReturn to Work Coordination qualificationPrevious experience in return-to-work coordination, health administration, HR, or WHS (preferred).Prior work experience in a Health/Injury management role, preferably in Mining, Construction or Heavy IndustryExcellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to engage with a wide range of stakeholders.Problem-solving skills with the ability to balance employee wellbeing and operational requirements.Desirable CriteriaPrior work experience working in a Health/Injury management/Safety Support role, preferably in Mining, Construction or Heavy IndustryPrevious experience with Coal Mines InsuranceA relevant degree or qualification in Safety, Allied Health Field or similar discipline (i.e. Certificate IV in Work health & Safety).BenefitsYancoal provides a range of benefits to appeal to the diverse needs of our employees.
