Is also responsible for ensuring that legislation is adhered to and complied with in order to manage the planning, implementing, monitoring and reviewing of the health, safety environmental. In addition is responsible for undertaking inspections, carrying out accident investigations, keeping records and writing safety case reports.Duties & ResponsibilitiesSupervising the implementation of the Health & Safety function plans, as well as ensuring their compliance with Hikma’s rules and policiesDeveloping the Health & Safety function’s work plan; assigning work activities, projects and programs, monitoring work flow, reviewing and evaluating work methods and procedures, and directing such activities to serve the Department's goals and plansProposing plans and programs that boost the effectiveness of the Health & Safety functionEnsuring that work activities are carried out achieving the pre-set performance goals.Maintain and develop EHS standards to ensure the environmental, health and safety of site personnel, visitors and contractors.Lead the site Health and Safety teamCoordinate the efforts of and coach personnel through the development of critical documentation and tools to support risk assessments, safe work practices and adverse event miss reporting & investigationWork closely with site management to ensure continual improvement and compliance in EHS activitiesMaintain and develop compliance-related policies and procedures based on EHS requirementsProvide EHS direction, assistance and support for corrective actions and recommendations to assure site EHS improvementsDevelop and implement site workplace inspections and audits to identify work hazards and exposures. Determine trends and action plans for remediation and corrective actionsPreparing periodic reports with respect to the Health & Safety function activities and achievements to be submitted to the direct ManagerEnsuring that instructions, circulars and organizational and technical decisions are followed and applied.Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in Occupational Health & Safety, Industrial Hygiene, Environmental Science, Pharmacy, Engineering, or a related discipline.Recognized Health & Safety certifications, such as:NEBOSH International General Certificate (IGC)OSHA Certification.ISO 45001 Lead Auditor or equivalent certification (preferred)From 5:8 years of relevant experience.Strong communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate with QA, Production, and Engineering teams.Detail-oriented with strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.Proactive, organized, and capable of driving a safety-first culture.Leadership skills to supervise safety officers and ensure adherence to policies.Job location: Badr City.
