Health Safety Environment Coordinator

PurposeAs our HSE coordinator you develop and implement health, safety and environmental policies to ensure regulatory compliance and minimize risks in our company worldwide. Place in the organisationYou report to the Head of OperationsPlace of work / working hoursAmersfoort / FulltimeKey activities/responsibilities:Write, implement, and manage HSE Programs, Policies and ProceduresEnsure compliance to the applicable legal and legislative HSE requirements Conduct compliance reviews, risk assessments and other safety assessments to support Health, Safety and Environmental managementInitiate and organize OHS training of employees Monitor the effective implementation of appropriate Health, Safety and Environment procedures and provide for their updating in line with changes in legislation and company directivesMotivate employees to respect the importance of complying with Health and Safety procedures and the use of safety equipment providedDrive and participate in detailed incident investigations and Root Cause Analysis Promote incident prevention for the benefit of employees and visitorsMaintain relevant HSE logs, documentation and prepare applicable HSE reports as necessaryRequirements for the job:Bachelor level or equivalent by work experience, Safety management, engineering or relevant field is preferredProven experience as Health and Safety OfficerIn depth knowledge of legislation (e.g. OSHA/EPA), ISO 45001, VCA and proceduresExcellent communication skills with the ability to present and explain health and safety topicsKnowledge of potentially hazardous materials or practicesAbility to travel internationally once in a while Currently living and working in the Netherlands SkillsCreative problem solverDiligent, attentive with great attention to detailStrong technical verbal and writing skills in English and DutchExcellent time management skills, commercial and cost awareness Pragmatic and self-starting attitude
