Health Safety Environment Coordinator

Stockwell is seeking a construction site-based HSE Coordinator to lead the daily planning, co-ordination and delivery operations on a new 10 storey mixed-use project located in West End, Brisbane.Stockwell has a rich history of construction and development spanning over 73 years with a pipeline of work in residential, commercial, retail and leisure projects throughout Queensland.You need to have a high level of understanding in all areas of Health, Safety and Environment (HSE), a proactive forward-thinking approach, a positive attitude and willingness to learn. You will be responsible for implementing HSE and overseeing our West End based project site.Role Description:Reporting to the HSE Lead, the HSE Coordinator will work alongside the Site Manager and Project Manager to deliver on the following responsibilities.Liaising with Site Managers/Supervisors for subcontractor management including SWMS reviews.Coordinating and delivering site inductions for all contractors on-site.Ensuring our Safety, Environment systems are effectively implemented on-site.Conducting site audits and site inspections.Collect and maintain HSE records of reported injuries, hazards, incidents, and near misses.Overseeing daily sign-in processes to ensure compliance.Liaising with project personnel and subcontractors to resolve issues, investigate and implementing corrective actions.Prepare and submit monthly reports and statistics.Staying up to date with and implementing legislative and regulatory changes.Assist with regular Toolbox Talks and Pre-starts.Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite.Experience using Hammertech and Procore or similar, is desirable.Excellent communication - verbal and written skills.Next Steps:Contact Giselle Phillips via LinkedIn or via giselle.phillips@stockwell.com.au for your next step in your HSE - Construction career!Please note, this position is available for an immediate start.
