Job Title: Health, Safety & Environment (HSE) OfficerLocation: Johor Bahru, MalaysiaProject Type: Data Center ConstructionAbout the RoleWe are seeking an experienced and dedicated HSE Officer to oversee and implement health, safety, and environmental programs on a data center construction project in Johor Bahru. The successful candidate will ensure compliance with statutory requirements and promote a strong safety culture across all site activities.Key ResponsibilitiesImplement and enforce project-specific HSE policies, plans, and procedures.Conduct daily site inspections, audits, and risk assessments to identify and mitigate hazards.Ensure full compliance with Malaysian safety and environmental regulations (DOSH, DOE, etc.).Deliver HSE inductions, toolbox talks, and safety training for site personnel and subcontractors.Investigate and report accidents, incidents, and near misses, ensuring timely corrective actions.Maintain accurate HSE records, documentation, and reports for project management review.Collaborate with the project team and contractors to maintain a safe working environment.Support continuous improvement in safety performance and awareness across all site operations.Qualifications & RequirementsDiploma or Degree in Occupational Safety & Health, Environmental Science, or related discipline.Registered Safety and Health Officer (SHO) or Yellow Book holder certified by DOSH Malaysia.Minimum 3–5 years of HSE experience in construction; experience on data center or M&E-heavy projects preferred.Strong understanding of local HSE regulations and standards.Excellent communication, reporting, and interpersonal skills.Ability to work effectively within a dynamic and fast-paced project environment.
