Health & Safety Lead - Denmark

OverviewWe are seeking an experienced Health and Safety Lead to oversee all aspects of health, safety, and environmental compliance on a large-scale pharmaceutical construction project in Denmark. The successful candidate will have proven experience in API facility construction, strong leadership skills, and a deep understanding of European and Danish HSE regulations.ResponsibilitiesKey Responsibilities:Lead and manage the HSE strategy across the construction site.Ensure compliance with Danish and EU health and safety legislation.Develop and implement site-specific safety plans, risk assessments, and method statements.Conduct regular site inspections, audits, and incident investigations.Liaise with client representatives, contractors, and regulatory bodies.Provide HSE training and toolbox talks to site personnel.Monitor and report on HSE performance metrics.Promote a proactive safety culture across all teams.Manage emergency response planning and drills.QualificationsRequired Experience & Qualifications:Minimum 8 years’ experience in construction HSE roles, with at least 3 years in pharmaceutical/API projects.Health and Safety degree/qualification.In-depth knowledge of API manufacturing environments and associated risks.Familiarity with GMP (Good Manufacturing Practice) and cleanroom construction standards.Experience working in Denmark or with Danish HSE regulations is highly desirable.Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.Fluent in English; Danish language skills are a plus.
