However, there are some significant health inequalities in the city, which we are working closely with partners to improve.This post offers an exciting and challenging opportunity for a self-motivated and enthusiastic individual to join our established and lively Public Health Team.The Health Trainer service is responsible for delivering the city’s stop smoking service and one to one lifestyle advice. The service works with individuals to tackle inequalities in health and support people to live healthy and independent lives by targeting resources on individuals and groups in greatest need.This role will lead on the delivery of a new healthy family program. A family-focused health trainer model, providing one-to-one family support through a compassionate approach to promote the health and wellbeing of families. In person sessions will provide targeted interventions, resources and education aimed at improving physical health, mental well-being, and family dynamics. Each role at CYC is different and your working arrangements will be determined based on the requirements of the role and in collaboration with you and your needs as part of the recruitment process.
