Role Summary_We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Architectural Technologist to join our team. The successful candidate will play a key role in leading projects, developing technical drawing packages, coordinating with consultants, and supporting the delivery of projects from planning through to construction.
Key Responsibilities_Prepare detailed technical drawings, specifications, and construction documentation in accordance with building regulations and project requirementsTranslate conceptual and schematic designs into fully coordinated technical packages.
Coordinate architectural drawings with structural, M&E, and specialist consultantsPreparing and submitting planning and building regulation applicationsConduct site visits and prepare site reports under the direction of the Project ArchitectIdentify technical issues, propose practical solutions, and flag buildability concernsStay current with industry standards, building regulations, and product innovationsMaintain high standards of accuracy and graphic presentationRequired Skills & Experience_Degree or diploma in Architectural Technology (or equivalent)Minimum 2-3 years of post-qualification experience in an architectural practiceExcellent knowledge of building regulations, codes, and construction methodologies (ROI and/or UK preferred)Proficiency in CAD software (AutoCAD, Revit preferred); experience with BIM workflows a strong plusExperience producing working drawings, tender packages, and construction detailingStrong understanding of materials, building envelope design, and specification writingAbility to work both independently and within a project teamStrong communication skills and attention to detailDesirable_Experience in residential, commercial, or educational sectorsFamiliarity with BC(A)R processes and site administration dutiesKnowledge of sustainable and low-energy building design principlesWhat We Offer_Opportunity to work on award-winning and purpose-driven architectureA supportive, design-led, and collaborative team environmentClear career progression pathways and ongoing CPD supportCompetitive compensation package based on experience and qualifications
