About this Position The Cluster Quality Head for Japan & Korea leads quality across 7 sites by executing global standards, fostering a zero-defect culture, driving digital transformation, developing talent, and achieving key performance targets. What You´ll Do Deploy Henkelâs five global quality fundamentalsâsuch as Statistical Quality Control and Process Failure Mode and Effects Analysisâacross all Japan and Korea plants, ensuring 100% compliance with Critical to Quality standards. Lead quality performance and risk management by reducing product complaints and applying risk analysis tools like Design and Process Failure Mode and Effects Analysis in new projects.
Promote structured problem-solving methods (A3, 8D, Fast Response Problem Solving), and resolve major customer issues through root cause analysis and preventive actions. Drive and collaborate with Human Resources to build the right organizational structure, identify key talent, and develop critical skills and capabilities across the quality teams. Manage internal and external stakeholdersâincluding customers, auditors, and cross-functional teamsâto resolve issues and drive continuous improvement. What makes you a good fit Bachelorâs degree in engineering (Chemical / Electrical / Mechanical, etc.
) is requiredMulti-site Quality Management experience in leadership role or a related technical discipline with 8â10 years of progressive experience in manufacturing quality management, preferably in chemical, automotive or electronics industries is requiredProven track record of deploying global quality systems such as SQC (Statistical Quality Control), MOC (Management of Change), PFMEA (Process Failure Mode & Effects Analysis), and problem-solving tools in multi-site environments is requiredDemonstrated ability to lead cross-functional and cross-cultural teams in a matrix organization along with strong customer-facing skills, with experience managing quality expectations of tier-1 global clients is preferred.
Understanding of Quality Standards and Requirements including ISO / VDA / IATF / PPAP etc. and certification in Six Sigma / Lean Management / Auditor Experience and Root-Cause Analysis is preferredMulti-lingual (English / Korean/Japanese, etc. ) and strong communicator is required.
