Job Description

Job Purpose: The Process Development Engineer I will support multiple ongoing projects, primarily focusing on process improvement, equipment validation, and technical problem-solving. The current assignment involves working on coating processes within a medical device manufacturing environment. This role will collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop, validate, and optimize manufacturing processes in line with New Product Introduction (NPI) and Continuous Improvement (CI) strategies. Key Responsibilities: Support coating and other manufacturing processes, driving improvements in yield, quality, and throughput. Collaborate across departments (e. g. , R&D, Quality, Manufacturing) to introduce and integrate new products/processes into production.

Assist in the programming and maintenance of new equipment sets using both visual and CAD-based approaches. Participate in the validation of equipment and processes, ensuring compliance with regulatory standards (Validation experience is desirable but not essential). Analyse and troubleshoot technical issues, working from basic to advanced engineering principles. Document findings, prepare technical reports, and present results to stakeholders. Work with minimal supervision in an independent role, while coordinating with the team for project alignment. Contribute to a positive and collaborative team culture - cultural fit is a key hiring criterion. Minimum Qualifications:

Level 8 BSc Honours Degree in a relevant engineering discipline (e. g. , Mechanical, Electrical, Biomedical, Chemical or Process Engineering). 1+ years of relevant industry experience (Medical Device experience ideal, but not essential). Strong analytical skills with proven problem-solving ability. Excellent communication skills and ability to work cross-functionally. Desirable Technical Skills: Experience with coating processes in a manufacturing or R&D setting. Exposure to equipment validation and process validation activities.
