About The PositionOur Herons Creek site is filled with a welcoming and social team. We are seeking Timber Mill Operators with a can-do attitude and strong work ethic to join us on a Permanent Full-time basis. If you enjoy working across different equipment and machinery, we are interested in talking to you.Our large site at Herons Creek Site comprises both a Saw Mill and Dry Mill. You will complete range of tasks to assist in our production processes and will be involved in end-to-end production, playing a key part in producing high quality timber products.We are looking for candidates who are available to pick up permanent day shift’s at the below times:Monday to Thursday 6:20am – 3pmFridays 6:20am – 12:40pm.We are offering a competitive hourly rate of $28.01 + super and paid overtime as required.Key Responsibilities Include But Not Limited ToPlaying a key part in the production of high-quality timber products.The use of various fix plant machinery including circular and band saws, automatic stacking equipment, gas fired kilns, moulders & robotic packaging lines.Assisting with the grading our products, identifying defects and accurately sawing and measuring.Moving, sorting and strapping timber to process for shipping and delivery.General labouring and timber mill duties including ensuring the work area is clean and free of debris on an ongoing basis.Inventory management to ensure a smooth production line with no delays, hold ups issues.Having a constant focus on health & safety across all areas of our site.To be successful in this role you will have:Previous experience in machine operating, labouring, manual handling or in a production environment is highly desirable.A positive attitude at work, whilst being reliable and punctual.A strong commitment to safety is essential.Knowledge of the timber industry is favorable.Be physically fit, with the ability to manually handle various sizes of timber product.The ability to work effectively within a team environment and produce work to a high standard.What We Can Offer YouFull-time work on an ongoing basisA competitive hourly rate of $28.01+ superPaid overtime opportunities as requiredOpportunities to learn new things and be trained across various plant machineryCareer growth and progression opportunities for the right candidateA positive work environment with supportive managementA social and friendly team who host site BBQ’s and participate local sporting competitionsA company who values employee health, safety and wellbeing.About UsJoin our team and be part of a diversified group with over 30 years of experience leading the way in the forestry, agricultural, and permaculture industries.
