This role, which is based at our site in Oldbury, will offer the successful candidate the opportunity to be part of the UK's leading parcel delivery business.This role will be working days covering a continental shift pattern of 4 on 4 off on days 06.40 – 19:00As the successful HGV Technician/Mechanic, you will report to the Workshop Manager and be a key member of the team. Working in a time critical distribution environment, your key accountabilities will include;Servicing and maintaining DPD’s fleet of approximately 1500 Mercedes Benz tractor units and in 2700 trailers.Fault Diagnostics on vehiclesMOT Preparation for the vehiclesWeekly/ monthly checks of HGV vehiclesMechanical and Electrical repairs on vehiclesQualificationsAbout YouAs the successful candidate you will have had experience working within a similar Heavy Goods or Heavy Plant role, or have knowledge of yellow goods repairs.
