High Net Worth Data Analyst Intern

In this role, you will be looking after the High-Net Worth (HNW) portfolio, using tools such as Microsoft Excel and SQL to Extract, transform and load client bordereaux data. You will also maintain data integrity through quality checks and cleaning, manage data storage and retrieval for optimal accessibility. Your work will result in comprehensive reports and business insights that drive organizational decision-making.This internship presents an excellent opportunity to gain actuarial experience, enhance your understanding of actuarial principles and practices, and a foundation into the HNW insurance market space.Your RoleAnalyse treaty terms and product features, perform reconciliations, and transformations, to ensure data quality through comprehensive checks, and cleaning, thereby supporting inforce portfolio management.Maintain data quality through comprehensive checks, cleaning, and reconciliation, supporting inforce portfolio management and pricing analysis.Maintain, update and enhance the loading process for the current HNW databaseUtilize insurance knowledge to map and standardize client-format portfolio data onto the organization's system, ensuring consistency and integrity.Conduct ad hoc investigations, including premium reconciliations and providing management information for experience investigations.Liaise with local offices, resolve issues, and document processes, ensuring accurate interpretation and implementationMaintain and enhance the HNW dashboard using data visualization tools such as PowerBIYour ProfilePursuing a Bachelor’s degree in a quantitative discipline such as Actuarial Science, Data Analytics, Statistics, or a related field.Proficient in Excel, SQL and PowerBI, with some experience in automation, and a strong emphasis on data management and data analysisStrong analytical and problem-solving skills, meticulous and possess experience in dealing with large datasetsKnowledge of Life Insurance principles and products is preferredDetail-oriented, proactive, and committed to continuous learning, with a positive attitudeAt Munich Re, we embrace, and value, the interaction of diverse backgrounds, experiences, perspectives and thought.
