If you're a passionate engineer ready to take your career to the next level, we want you to join us on our journey.About The RoleWe are looking for suitably qualified and experienced High Voltage (HV) Switching Operators/ Electricians to support ongoing commissioning, energisation, and operational readiness of our utility-scale solar installation: Glenellen Solar Farm in Albury, NSW. The successful candidate will be responsible for carrying out HV switching activities in accordance with site procedures, network protocols, and safety standards.This is a site-based role suited to applicants with a strong background in HV operations on solar farms or utility networks, and who possess both a valid HV Switching Ticket and a NSW A Grade Electrical Licence. FIFO and DIDO options available!!Key ResponsibilitiesPerform HV switching operations on site as per approved switching sheets, procedures, and network operator requirements.Develop and review HV switching plans, isolation strategies, and associated documentation.Coordinate with the Commissioning Manager, Control Room Operators, and network representatives to safely execute switching and energisation.Maintain detailed records of switching events, isolations, and energisation milestones.Support the electrical commissioning and testing teams during system verification, functional testing, and energisation stages.Conduct visual inspections of HV equipment (transformers, RMUs, switchgear) before and after switching tasks.Assist with incident investigations and provide input to continuous improvement processes related to HV safety and operation.Ensure compliance with site-specific safety systems including Permit to Work (PTW), Lock Out Tag Out (LOTO), and electrical access procedures.Required Qualifications & ExperienceCurrent HV Switching Ticket (Australian recognised)- ESSENTIALNSW A Grade Electrical LicenceConstruction White CardLVR/ CPRMinimum 2 years of experience as a High Voltage Operator (HVO)Demonstrated experience in preparing and executing HV switching programs and isolationsSound knowledge of Australian Electrical Standards, HV safety protocols, and network authority requirementsCompetency with LOTO, HV access permitting, and energisation risk managementCurrent driver's licence and ability to pass site medical and drug/alcohol screeningDesired Qualifications (Highly Regarded)First Aid (current)High Risk Work Licence – EWPPrevious experience on solar farms, wind farms, or BESS projectsFamiliarity with SCADA and substation control interfacesWhat We OfferCompetitive rates based on experience and qualificationsFIFO or DIDO flexibilityOpportunity to work on a major renewable energy infrastructure projectProfessional and safety-focused work environmentHow To ApplyTo apply for this opportunity, please submit your application, including detailed a CV and cover letter, via the Apply button.Monford are proud to offer long-term career path opportunities and those individuals who join us can look forward to an outstanding working environment, market leading remuneration, fantastic employee benefits with discounts from hundreds of leading retailers.We welcome and strongly encourage applications from women, Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islanders for these opportunities.
