This position will coordinate overall design activities, project submission schedules, and will be responsible for additional QA/QC duties to help ensure the final product meets the technical requirements and goals of the client. The Senior Engineer is also responsible for meeting established budgets and schedulesKey ResponsibilitiesPerforms independent planning and design tasks, reviews work of others, prepares construction documents, and successfully delivers projects to completionDemonstrates experience with technically complex projectsMaintains collaborative inter-departmental and cross functional working relationships with members of the project teamApplies knowledge of codes and standards applicable to design of projectsPerforms final QA/QC review of project submissionsDevelops schedules, technical proposals, and labor hour estimatesWorks closely with project teams to effectively describe and deliver the scope of workPromotes, utilizes, and supports quality assurance and quality control processes to improve the quality of deliverables and reduce design errors & omissionsPerforms and checks design calculations, technical specifications, and prepares cost estimatesDevelops and maintains design budgets for complex scopes of workProvide guidance, training, and support to engineering associates and interns, helping them develop technical skills, design intuition, and professional growth. Education and ExperienceEducation: Bachelor’s or Master’s Degree in position relevant Engineering field from ABET accredited schoolExperience: Minimum of twelve (12) years’ job-related experienceLicensure/Certification: Professional Engineer (PE) requiredPreferred QualificationsDemonstrates a strong desire to expand knowledge and take on new responsibilities within the engineering field. Proficient in Revit, AutoCAD Civil 3D, Microstation/InRoads, and/or Hydrologic and Hydraulic Software Packages to be used for Site Layout, Grading, Utility, and Storm Water Management Plan design and/or other discipline-specific programs preferredProficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Power Point, Outlook). Excellent organizational and time management skills to handle multiple tasks and meet project deadlines effectively. Strong oral and written communication skills, with the ability to work independently as well as collaboratively within a project team. Proven ability to lead and influence multidisciplinary teams in delivering innovative, client-focused solutionsExhibits strong critical thinking and problem-solving skills, with a commitment to technical excellence and innovationEEO StatementLarson Design Group, Inc. is an Affirmative Action and Equal Opportunity Employer (EEO) that is committed to diversity and inclusion in the workplace.
