Built for performance, scale, and intuitive user experiences, Workspace is a cornerstone product used daily by thousands of financial professionals around the world. As Director - Platform Experiences, you will be a key senior leader within the Workspace engineering organisation. This role requires technical acumen, strong people leadership, and strategic thinking.

You will be accountable for leading multiple cross-functional engineering teams that deliver customer-facing outcomes across core Workspace capabilities such as Market Monitoring, Real-Time Data, News, Charting, and more. In addition to product and delivery responsibilities, you will serve as the local leader for the Workspace organisation in Bucharest. This includes fostering a strong, inclusive culture; representing Workspace within the broader LSEG Bucharest technology community; and being a visible, accessible leader who champions collaboration, career development, and site-wide initiatives.

You'll play a key role in attracting and retaining talent, supporting engineering community engagement, and contributing to the strategic growth of our Bucharest presence. You will report to the Head of Engineering for Workspace and play a critical role in shaping engineering culture, technology strategy, and team performance in line with LSEG's goals of delivering world-class financial tools and platforms. The role spans technical strategy, people leadership, and execution delivery. You will lead multiple teams to deliver critical functionality to financial professionals.

You will work closely with Product, UX, Architecture, and other engineering domains to ensure reliable, scalable, and elegant experiences for our customers. You will foster a culture of ownership, innovation, and continuous improvement, while ensuring your teams are aligned with broader business objectives. What You'll Be DoingLeading and managing multiple engineering teams across various customer-facing domains (e. g. , News, Real-Time Data, Charting, Market Monitoring). Setting and evolving technical direction in collaboration with other engineering leaders. Driving modern software engineering practices (CI/CD, testing, observability, performance monitoring).

Coaching and developing engineering managers and senior individual contributors to achieve technical and professional excellence. Partnering with Product and Design teams to define roadmaps, prioritise initiatives, and deliver high-quality customer outcomes. Overseeing the recruitment, onboarding, and retention of top engineering talent. Acting as a senior voice in engineering planning, incident response, and operational readiness. Driving continuous improvement and promoting a learning culture within your teams. What You'll BringProven experience in leading large, distributed software engineering teams in a product-centric organisation. Deep understanding of building high-performance, scalable, and secure software systems.

Experience delivering complex web-based applications with real-time or data-heavy capabilities. Strong technical background (e. g. , software engineering, architecture, systems design). Excellent people management and team development skills. Strong communication and stakeholder engagement abilities. Experience operating in agile, iterative development environments. Passion for delivering outstanding customer experiences through elegant platform capabilities.
