About The RoleThe Talent Retention Specialist at the Helen Ross McNabb Center plays a vital role in cultivating a positive workplace culture that promotes employee engagement, well-being, and retention. Reporting directly to the Vice President of Organizational Culture and Advancement, the Talent Retention Specialist acts as a key facilitator in implementing strategies aimed at reducing turnover and strengthening organizational loyalty. This role is ideal for a proactive, organized individual passionate about fostering a healthy work environment and making a meaningful impact on staff morale. QualificationsThe ideal candidate will possess a combination of relevant experience and educational background. A bachelor’s degree in human resources, communications, health promotion, or a related field is preferred, or equivalent work experience demonstrating proficiency in employee engagement or event planning.
Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and excellent follow-through are essential. Familiarity with Microsoft Office, Outlook, and basic data tracking tools is required. The candidate should demonstrate the ability to work independently while managing multiple projects effectively. Experience in wellness coordination, volunteer programs, or event logistics is a plus. Additionally, candidates should exhibit high professionalism, discretion, and a friendly communication style, along with a passion for workplace culture and employee well-being. ResponsibilitiesCoordinate logistics for staff appreciation events, wellness challenges, and morale-building initiatives across multiple locations. Manage scheduling, invitations, and calendar support for internal meetings and events.
Assist with internal communications, including email responses and follow-up tasks to ensure timely information dissemination. Distribute employee engagement items such as prizes, swag, and printed materials to foster a positive work environment. Support volunteer programs, including therapy dog visits and other special projects aimed at enhancing staff well-being. Maintain organized records of participation, engagement metrics, and program outcomes for reporting purposes. Collaborate with various departments and administrative teams to streamline engagement efforts and ensure cohesive program execution. Provide administrative support to the Vice President of Organizational Culture and Advancement, including task tracking and light project coordination.
