About The RoleThe Human Resources Manager at TreeHouse Foods will play a vital role in cultivating an engaging and supportive work environment at our Carrollton, TX facility, which specializes in manufacturing high-quality refrigerated dough products. This position involves managing a broad range of human resources functions, serving as a frontline operational support, and acting as an internal business partner. The HR Manager will lead HR initiatives, advise leadership on strategic HR matters, and ensure compliance with employment laws and company policies.
This role offers an opportunity to add significant value through various responsibilities, including providing expert guidance to managers and supervisors on HR-related issues, managing labor relations, building strong employee relationships, and supporting HR programs. The HR Manager will also oversee staffing, recruitment, onboarding, and employee engagement activities, ensuring a positive and compliant work environment. The position requires a proactive approach to addressing employee concerns, supporting investigations, and fostering open communication across all shifts and departments. QualificationsThe ideal candidate will possess a bachelor's degree in human resources, business, or a related field, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
A minimum of five years of relevant HR experience is preferred, with prior exposure to unionized environments being highly desirable. Experience working in a manufacturing setting is strongly preferred, along with familiarity with HRIS systems such as Workday and Dimensions UKG. Additionally, bilingual proficiency in Spanish is preferred to facilitate effective communication with a diverse workforce. Candidates should demonstrate strong personal accountability, a continuous improvement mindset, and proficiency in Microsoft Office applications. Prior experience in labor relations, employee engagement, and conflict resolution will be considered advantageous.
ResponsibilitiesProvide expert advice and coaching to managers and front-line supervisors on HR-related matters, including attendance, conflict resolution, and disciplinary actions. Lead labor relations efforts, including interpreting union contracts, resolving grievances, and collaborating with union representatives to maintain a respectful and productive labor environment. Build and maintain effective relationships with employees, fostering a positive and inclusive workplace culture. Serve as a trusted resource for employees across all production shifts, maintaining discretion and confidentiality when handling sensitive information. Support the development, implementation, and communication of HR programs such as recognition initiatives, employee feedback forums, engagement surveys, and internal communications.
Manage staffing and recruitment efforts, including supporting onboarding, orientation, and retention strategies. Address employee inquiries and concerns proactively, supporting investigations and ensuring timely resolution of issues. This role is primarily on-site, working during the first shift, with occasional flexibility to other shifts as needed.
