What We’re Looking ForProven familiarity with reinsurance program structures both proportional and non-proportionalStrong understanding of reinsurance contract wordings and ability to apply concepts related to financial transactionsKnowledge about letters of credit / OCAs requirements applicable to claim reserves, IBNR and UEPAbility to work with minimal supervision and manage a team of individuals responsible for technical entries / cash allocations and premiums/claims payableProvide assistance and guidance related processing financial transactions on our extensive portfolio of proportional programsAdhere to internal controls related to error detection and preventionAnalysis of data and reconciliations related to premiums payable, cash receipts, paid claims and reservesEffective verbal and written communications with brokers and senior management is a requirement.

Education / Experience / SkillsManaging a team for at least 5 yearsInsurance designation would be an assetPrior proven experience in projects related to process efficienciesAccounting designation or strong accounting background providing proven years of experience is preferred Excellent communication skillsProficient with MS Office Suite applicationsDiversity and flexible working at HiscoxAt Hiscox we care about our people.
