The opportunityThe Product excellence team is ensuring product quality, reliability, and performance throughout the product lifecycle, leading among others design change tasks, customer requests, material updates, and supplier transitions. This role also involves coordinating and managing activities to support cost, quality, and factory goals on daily production and new product launches, as well as maintaining and updating technical documentation related to products.
How You’ll Make An ImpactThe ideal candidate will be the part of the Mechanical design and engineering team specialized on Medium Voltage Surge arrestersResponsible for Preparation of Customer documents, Manufacturing drawings, Bill of materials etcResponsible for development of special customer solutions in coordination with Sales and Product management.
Leading change management activities related to design adjustments, and material changesCoordinating design activities with Global Product SupportWorking to maintain and improve product quality through various engineering processes and testing methodologiesIdentifying and resolving complex product-related issues, often involving collaboration with other teamsWorking closely with cross-functional teams, including design, manufacturing, quality, and supply chain, to ensure product successLiving Hitachi Energy’s core values of safety and integrity, which means taking responsibility for your own actions while caring for your colleagues and the businessYour backgroundGraduate in Mechanical EngineeringWorking experience in Mechanical Design for High Voltage manufacturing industry will be considered a plusGood understanding of international standards ISO/IEC Standards Should understand basic electrical concepts such as clearance/creepage, basic layoutExperience in electrical component design is advantage.
