Job Description

This role leads development and learning management initiatives for our high-performance startups in HKSTP’s startup ecosystem. This appointee drives development and execution of multiple initiatives helping startups to achieve tangible business growth. In the process, he/ she leads coordination and alignment with multiple internal and external stakeholders to ensure positive business outcome. The positionDrive continuous development and refinement of initiatives (e. g.

boosters, community-led upskill initiatives) to further enhance business value to startupsSpreadhead new initiatives/ extension of existing initiatives and develop relevant working model with stakeholdersManage a team to deliver the business improvement to high-performing startups, in coordinated and aligned manners with other functions/ teamsProvide oversights to execution to ensure quality and compliance to internal processesBuild and broadcast of relevant success stories through marketing/PRDeliver business results for a focused promotion of high-performing startups (“ARENA”)Lead execution of ARENA, including regular selection of startup candidates, preparation and staging in venue, ensuring proper curation of candidates to audience, driving visits and off-venue exposure to ARENA candidates, coordination with other teams/ departments to follow up and drive results as well as budgeting and administrationBuild ARENA brands through promotion of success stories to startups, internal and external audienceIdentify and execute further opportunities to drive business outcome for startups leveraging ARENA construct and brandAlign and coordinate closely and continuously with internal and external stakeholders (including but not limited to start-up programme managers, co-acceleration funds, investor engagement, etc…) on actions to drive business outcome of start-upsOwn end-to-end governance for ARENA and related initiatives, including progress tracking, performance reporting, and improvement recommendations to maximize business impactPerform any other duties as assignedThe CandidateBachelor’s degree or equivalent qualification in Business Administration, Engineering, Entrepeneurship, Information Technology or other related disciplines10 years of working experience including 5 years of experience in people management, preferably in services industry (including financial services, professional services) or product development gained from MNCs with multi-location responsibilityProven experience and success in delivering multiple complex service products or projectsExhibit passion for building start-up ecosystem for Hong KongExcellent leadership and proven ability to work with all level of stakeholders including senior executives in highly-dynamic environmentsStrong knowledge of start-up development phases and acceleration meansUphold high standards of integrity, professionalism and ethical conductGood command of written and spoken English and Cantonese including MandarinHigher education or professional qualifications with less experience will also be consideredWhat We OfferUnique Work.
