Success in the role requires rebuilding the values and culture of the organisation and re-establishing governance excellence. This will be delivered through transparent and empathic leadership committed to a positive, collaborative and productive workplace.
An unrelenting focus on customer excellence, service delivery and continuous improvement will improve community satisfaction and confidence with the aspiration to place Hobsons Bay Council at the forefront in local government. The incoming CEO will bring a track record in leading a large and diverse service delivery-focused organisation with a range of services and operations. High levels of financial acumen and influential stakeholder and advocacy skills are necessary. A comprehensive understanding of local government and experience working in or with the government sector is expected.
