Vice President, Chief Financial OfficerFull Time- DaysNot a remote positionEssential FunctionsOversee the accounting function, ensuring compliance with GAAP, federal and state regulations, Medicare/Medicaid billing regulations and non-profit reporting standards. Monitor, analyze and report on financial performance of the organization monthly, quarterly and annually. Provide financial insight and recommendations to support strategic decision making. Lead development of annual organizational budget and regularly monitor actual operating results against the budget. Work with other departments within the organization to assure effective utilization of resources, efficient operational procedures and analyze budgetary impacts of new initiatives.

Ensure that all required financial reporting and filings are completed, including cost reports, tax returns, payroll filings and benefit plan filings. Responsible for accurate, current and comprehensive accounting, billing, payroll and business policies and procedures. Implement and maintain internal controls to safeguard assets and ensure accurate financial reporting. Coordinate and manage the annual external audit processes for Organizational and 401(k) Plan audits and the preparation of the IRS Form 990. Serve as the primary contact with the external accounting firm.

Serve as a member of the Leadership Team and participate in Board meetings, Planned Giving Council meetings and 401(k) Investment Committee meetings. Act as management liaison and participate in Finance Committee, Investment Committee and Audit Committees, including coordinate agenda with Committee Chair, prepare presentations and record minutes for meetings. Monitor organizational cash flow and forecasting. Oversee short-term liquid operating investments to maximize yield while maintaining necessary liquidity. Manage banking relationship. Serve as the primary contact with external investments advisors and routinely coordinate meetings, analysis and liquidity needs. Manage contractual agreements for the organization in collaboration with the Controller.

Assist VP, Human Resources in evaluating benefits and making decisions on benefit providers and stop loss coverage. Budget and monitor benefit costs. Ensure proper financial management and tracking of grants and restricted donor funds. Collaborate with Development on proposals for funding sources. Support Development in reconciling and recording financial results of special events. Manage revaluations, tracking, payments and reporting for charitable gift annuities. Manage accounting system security, access and configuration. Oversee the Data Analytics department, ensuring the team's strategies and deliverables align with the organization’s goals and support informed decision-making.

As an exempt employee, must be willing to work necessary hours to meet job requirements. QualificationsBachelor's degree in accounting or financial degree required. 5 Years Of Experience Required. Must have working knowledge of computer-based programs and have the ability to learn and navigate Choices Healthcare computer systems. Must be proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and have experience with financial and accounting software.
