Job Description

The Hospitality Development Senior Manager will be responsible for leading hotel development projects, including planning, design coordination, execution, and delivery. The goal is to develop hotel assets that align with company standards, brand positioning, and market needs while maximizing profitability and guest experience. Coordinates effectively with internal and external stakeholders to ensure smooth operations and successful project outcomes.KEY ACCOUNTABILITIESStrategic Contribution:Contribute to formulating and implementing hospitality development strategies aligned with corporate objectives and market trends.Ensure alignment of hotel developments with overall organizational vision, mission, and financial objectives.Development Planning and Coordination:Oversee planning, feasibility analysis, and concept development for new hotel projects.Manage the hotel development lifecycle from initial concept to operational readiness, ensuring adherence to quality standards, budget, timelines, and brand guidelines.Design and Project Management:Direct and coordinate hotel design processes, ensuring compliance with hospitality industry standards, brand guidelines, guest experience requirements, and local regulations.Lead cross-functional coordination between design teams, contractors, hospitality operations, sales, and marketing departments.Stakeholder Management:Engage proactively with internal departments (Finance, Projects, Operations, Marketing, and Sales) and external stakeholders (hospitality operators, consultants, architects, contractors, regulatory bodies) to ensure successful execution of hotel projects.Facilitate collaboration between hotel operators and internal teams to define service standards, guest journey, and operational readiness for project openings.Compliance and Quality Assurance:Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements, hospitality standards, sustainability guidelines, and company policies throughout the development process.Conduct periodic project reviews, monitoring quality, budget adherence, timelines, and design effectiveness to ensure commercial viability and market competitiveness.Operational Transition:Coordinate effectively with hospitality operators and internal teams to ensure seamless project transition from construction to hotel operations.Manage product closeout activities, ensuring assets meet brand standards, customer expectations, and operational requirements.Financial and Commercial Management:Monitor hotel development budgets, manage cost controls, identify variances, and recommend corrective actions to ensure targeted financial returns.Provide regular progress and financial performance reports to the Development Director.QUALIFICATIONS, EXPERIENCE, & SKILLSRequired Qualifications:Bachelor’s Degree in Hospitality Management, Architecture, Engineering, or Real Estate DevelopmentMBA or Master's Degree in Hospitality Management, Real Estate, Finance, or related discipline (preferred)Preferred Experience:11-13 years’ experience in hospitality project development or hotel asset managementMinimum 3 years’ managerial experience within the hospitality/hotel industryJob-Specific Skills:Deep understanding of hospitality market trends, hotel asset development, guest experience optimization, operational standards, and regulatory complianceProficiency in hospitality project management, feasibility analysis, budgeting, hotel design management, and hospitality brand positioningStrong commercial acumen with experience delivering profitable hospitality products
