We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Human Resources Manager to lead the HR function for a respected hospitality group located in the heart of Southern California. This is an excellent opportunity to join a values-driven organization that encompasses multiple businesses, including a boutique hotel, wineries, and restaurants, with a combined workforce of over 300 employees. This hands-on role offers the chance to shape and guide HR operations across multiple business units in a collaborative, service-oriented environment.
The ideal candidate is an experienced HR professional who thrives in hospitality or service-based industries and is well-versed in California labor law compliance, employee relations, and benefits administration. You’ll work closely with senior leadership and department heads to implement HR best practices that support employee engagement, operational excellence, and company culture. Compensation & Benefits: Salary Range: $90,000 – $105,000 + Medical, Dental, and Vision Insurance, 401(k) with Company Match, & PTO and Floating Holidays. Key Responsibilities:
Serve as the strategic HR leader for all departments across the organizationManage recruiting, onboarding, performance management, and employee engagementEnsure compliance with all local, state, and federal labor regulations, with a strong focus on CA-specific lawsLead investigations, manage employee relations, and coordinate legal matters with outside counselOversee benefits administration in collaboration with payroll and accounting teamsMaintain and enhance HRIS and related software platformsSupport safety programs and ensure adherence to company policies and handbooksSupervise HR team members and guide cross-functional supportIdeal Qualifications:
10+ years of progressive HR experience, with a minimum of 5 years in a leadership roleExperience managing HR for 300+ employees, preferably in hospitality, F&B, or similar environmentsStrong working knowledge of CA labor laws and compliance requirementsBachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related fieldPHR/SPHR certification strongly preferredBilingual (Spanish/English) a plusProficiency with Microsoft Office, HRIS, ATS, and payroll systemsAbility to balance hands-on responsibilities with strategic leadershipIf you are a collaborative HR professional who values integrity, mentorship, and operational excellence, we encourage you to apply and join a company that places people and culture at the heart of its success.
