The group is expanding their hospitality portfolio in the Caribbean with the addition of 116 modern high-quality serviced apartments accommodating short and long term stays - scheduled to be fully operational by 2027.You will oversee the day-to-day operations of two full-service hotel properties including Royal Torarica & Torarica Resort combined with 200+ rooms. This role ensures operational excellence, guest satisfaction, and profitability by managing key departments and aligning team performance with the hotel’s strategic goals.📍 On-Site in Paramaribo, Suriname (South America).🗺 International relocation package included.🌴 Caribbean nationals are encouraged to apply.Key ResponsibilitiesOperational Leadership:• Supervise and coordinate daily operations across all departments.• Ensure consistent delivery of high-quality guest services.• Monitor and improve operational workflows and service standards.• Foster a positive work environment and promote teamwork.• Conduct performance reviews and manage department heads and staff.Staff Management:• Lead, train, and motivate department heads and their teams.• Conduct regular performance evaluations and coaching sessions.• Foster a positive and productive work environment.Guest Experience:• Monitor guest feedback and implement service improvements.• Handle guest complaints professionally and promptly and VIP services.• Ensure a seamless and memorable guest journey from check-in to check-out.Financial Oversight:• Prepare and manage budgets, forecasts and financial reports and cost control initiatives.• Monitor departmental expenses and optimize resource allocation.• Support revenue management strategies and upselling initiatives.Compliance and Safety:• Ensure compliance with health, safety, and hygiene standards.• Conduct regular audits and inspections.• Maintain licenses, permits, and regulatory documentation.Collaboration and Communication:• Work closely with the General Manager and other senior leaders.• Coordinate with Sales, Marketing, and Events teams to support business goals.• Represent the hotel in internal and external meetings when required.Key Performance Indicators (KPIs):• Monito Guest Satisfaction Scores (GSS, NPS).• Departmental efficiency and cost control.• Staff turnover and engagement levels.• Operational audit scores.• Revenue per Available Room (RevPAR) and Occupancy Rate.Qualifications & Skills:• Bachelor’s degree in Hospitality Management or related field.• Minimum of five (5) years Hotel Operations experience, with at least two (2) years in a leadership function.• Strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.• Strong financial acumen and operational expertise.• Proficiency in hotel management systems (e.g., Opera, PMS, POS).• Must be flexible to work shifts incl. evenings, weekends and/or local national holidays.• Bilingual proficiency in English and Dutch (preferred verbal and written communication).• Knowledge of hospitality sustainability practices and initiatives.• Familiarity with digital marketing and online booking platforms.🏨 Benefits & Company Perks:✔️ Medical, dental, vision and retirement plan.✔️ PTO: 18 paid days off (up to max 30 days).✔️ Annual departmental teammate appreciation & team building events including annual company holiday activities.✔️ Food & Beverage discounts at all 3 hotel properties.✔️ Annual complimentary room overnight stays plus eligible for an overnight weekend stay.✔️ TorWellness facilities: complimentary use of gym, swimming pool, sauna.✔️ Teammate incentives.✔️ Eligibility for bonus based on overall performance.✔️ Ergonomic work space.🚨Only qualified applicants are encouraged to apply🚨🏨For more information on the company: https://torarica.com/en
