Self-monitors and assures that all GA professional and ethical standards for a state employee are maintained. Self-monitors and assures ongoing professional development necessary to maintain those skills utilizing multiple resources. This position will be primarily remote. “This position works to promote and protect the health and safety of the residents of Cobb & Douglas Counties. Responsibilities include but are not limited to:Essential Functions (include, But Are Not Limited To)Gathers and documents anthropometrics hemoglobin measurements per GA WIC set guidelines. Assesses nutritional needs, diet restrictions and current health plans to develop and implement dietary-care plans and provide nutritional counseling. Counsel’s participants & their families and groups on nutritional principles, dietary plans and diet modifications, healthy eating habits, and nutrition monitoring to improve their quality of lifeMinimum QualificationsMinimum Qualifications:Bachelor's degree in dietetics, human nutrition, foods and nutrition, nutrition education, food systems management, or a closely related field from an accredited college or university, verification statement of completion of a didactic program accredited by The Academy of Nutrition & Dietetics and two (2) years of job-related experience providing nutrition care to groups and individuals; or two (2) years of experience at the lower level Dietitian/Nutritionist 1 (HCP020) or position equivalent.Preferred Qualifications/Skills:B.S. in eligible degree for Academy Accredited Dietetic Internship. Georgia WIC experience.
