We are committed to strengthening environmental public health systems, enforcing hygiene standards, and building a healthier, safer Nigeria through professional regulation, capacity building, and compliance monitoring.As part of our expansion and organizational strengthening, we are seeking a professional, proactive, and resourceful HR/Admin Officer to join our team.Position OverviewThe HR/Admin Officer will support the Council in driving excellence in human resource management, administrative coordination, documentation, staff welfare, and operational efficiency. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, organized, and able to work in a fast-paced government regulatory environment.Key ResponsibilitiesHuman ResourcesSupport end-to-end recruitment, onboarding, and orientation processes.Maintain accurate HR records, personnel files, and HRIS updates.Assist with performance management processes and compliance reporting.Coordinate staff training, capacity-building programs, and HR policy implementation.Handle employee relations, grievances, and communication with tact and professionalism.Ensure compliance with public service guidelines and HR regulatory standards.AdministrationManage office operations, logistics, and administrative documentation.Coordinate meetings, memos, correspondences, and official communication.Maintain asset registers, inventory, and administrative supplies.Support procurement documentation and vendor management.Ensure proper filing, data management, and retrieval systems.Assist in planning EHCON events, workshops, and field activities.Requirements & QualificationsBachelor’s Degree in Human Resource Management, Public Administration, Business Administration, or related field.Minimum of 2–3 years HR/Admin experience; government, regulatory, or public sector experience is an advantage.Strong knowledge of HR processes, Nigerian labour regulations, and public service administrative procedures.Excellent communication, documentation, and report-writing skills.Proficiency in MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and HR information systems.Strong interpersonal skills, confidentiality, and professionalism.Ability to work independently and collaboratively.CompetenciesAttention to DetailIntegrity & ConfidentialityOrganization & Time ManagementProblem-Solving & InitiativeTeam CollaborationCustomer/Stakeholder Service OrientationHow to ApplyInterested and qualified candidates should submit their CV and a brief cover letter using the LinkedIn Easy Apply button or send to: info@ehcon.gov.ng Subject: Application for HR/Admin Officer – EHCONOnly shortlisted candidates will be contacted.
