About the RoleWe are seeking an experienced and proactive HR Advisor to join our growing team in Sydney. This is an exciting opportunity to play a key role in supporting our people strategy across a dynamic, design-led business within the AEC sector.As HR Advisor, you will provide hands-on support across all areas of the employee lifecycle, ensuring consistency, compliance and excellence in how we attract, develop and retain our talent. You’ll partner closely with leaders, managers and project teams to deliver pragmatic, people-focused solutions that align with our culture and values.Key ResponsibilitiesEmployee Relations & SupportAct as the first point of contact for employee relations queries, providing sound advice and guidance on HR policies, performance, absence and disciplinary matters.Support managers with employee relations cases, ensuring best practice, fairness and compliance with employment law.Foster a positive, inclusive and high-performing culture across the organisation.Recruitment & OnboardingPartner with hiring managers to support recruitment activity, from drafting job descriptions to coordinating interviews and offers.Ensure a seamless onboarding process for new starters, embedding our culture and values from day one.Learning & DevelopmentSupport the roll-out of training and development initiatives across technical, leadership and professional areas.Help identify development needs through appraisals and succession planning discussions.HR Operations & ComplianceMaintain and update employee records and HR systems with accuracy and confidentiality.Support the annual performance review, reward and benefits processes.Assist with HR metrics, dashboards and reporting to inform people-related decision-making.Ensure compliance with employment legislation, company policies and industry standards.Culture, Engagement & WellbeingContribute to employee engagement and wellbeing initiatives that enhance retention and motivation.Champion diversity, equity, and inclusion across all people practices.About YouCIPD Level 5 qualified – essential.Experience in a fast-paced, project-based environment, ideally within the AEC, design, or creative industries.Solid knowledge of UK employment law and HR best practice.Excellent interpersonal and communication skills – able to build trust and influence stakeholders at all levels.Strong organisational skills with the ability to balance competing priorities and deadlines.A collaborative, proactive approach and a genuine passion for supporting people and culture.Comfortable working both strategically and operationally — equally happy advising senior managers or handling day-to-day HR administration.What We OfferCompetitive salary and benefits package.Hybrid working model (3 days office / 2 days remote).Professional development support, including CIPD progression and learning opportunities.Collaborative, design-led environment with global project exposure.The opportunity to make a tangible impact within a forward-thinking, people-centric business.Apply NowIf you are an HR professional who thrives in a creative and dynamic environment, and you’re ready to play a key role in shaping our people experience, we’d love to hear from you.
