OverviewThe HR Associate – Compensation & Benefits plays a vital role in supporting and administering the company’s compensation and benefits programs. This position is responsible for maintaining competitive salary structures, ensuring compliance with government regulations (SSS, PhilHealth, PAG-IBIG, and BIR), managing employee benefits such as health insurance and retirement plans, and providing prompt assistance to employee inquiries.Key ResponsibilitiesCompensation ManagementAdminister and maintain compensation programs, including salary structures, bonuses, and incentive plans.Process employee monetary benefits such as referral incentives, funeral assistance, and various allowances.Compute final or separation pay for resigning or retiring employees.Encode salary adjustments and leave credits for payroll processing.Track and audit leave credits, and promptly process cash conversions and hospital account offsets.Benefits AdministrationEnsure timely filing and processing of SSS benefits (sickness, EC, maternity/paternity, etc.) to avoid delays.Review and approve SSS salary and calamity loans through the SSS employer portal.Prepare and submit documentation for SSS, PhilHealth, and PAG-IBIG contributions and loans.Administer employee benefits programs, including health insurance, retirement, and other fringe benefits.Assess and recommend enhancements to benefits programs to improve employee satisfaction and cost efficiency.Compliance and ReportingEnsure accurate and timely submission of new hire reports to SSS and PhilHealth (ER2, R1a).Prepare and submit reports to PSA and DOLE, such as 13th Month Pay and the Annual Medical Report (AMR).Generate reports on statutory benefits and other compliance-related documentation.Produce monthly analytics and reports to support HR and organizational goals.Maintain accurate and updated records of all compensation and benefits data.Program EvaluationMonitor the effectiveness of compensation and benefits programs and identify areas for improvement.Conduct regular audits to ensure compliance with company policies and government regulations.Employee CommunicationDevelop and distribute communication materials on compensation and benefits programs.Provide timely assistance and solutions to employee compensation or benefits concerns.Collaboration and SupportWork closely with HR, Audit, Accounting, and leadership teams to align compensation and benefits initiatives with business objectives.Support recruitment and retention strategies by ensuring competitive and attractive total rewards packages.Continuous ImprovementStay updated on industry trends, best practices, and changes in labor laws affecting compensation and benefits.Recommend and implement improvements to ensure program effectiveness and competitiveness.QualificationsEducation:Bachelor’s degree in Psychology, Human Resource Management, or any related Behavioral Science field.Experience:Minimum of 1 year of relevant experience in compensation and benefits administration.Skills & Competencies:Strong understanding of government-mandated benefits and related compliance requirements.Excellent organizational skills and keen attention to detail.Effective written and verbal communication skills with a strong customer service orientation.Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines.Proficiency in MS Office and Google Workspace.
