In recent years, our innovative solutions in air traffic management systems and telecom satellites have further strengthened our presence in the country alongside our digital portfolio of solutions such as biometrics, data protection and cybersecurity now serving the needs of diverse customers in civil sectors.The Payroll Officer provides support, analysis, advice and expertise to employees and our HR partners on complex payroll issues in order to guarantee the correct pay and employee rights in accordance with the operating principles and solutions deployed within the Shared Payroll Service. In addition, he/she participates in meetings and/or workshops relating to current affairs and reports to team leaders or carries out, monitors and summarizes cross-functional or collective activities within the team or the Shared Payroll Service.Areas Of ResponsibilitiesResponsible for Payroll Administration including tax filing and statutory contributions for Thales Group of Companies in Asia. Also is responsible for payroll processing of a business unit.Support the annual salary review and bonus exercise including the preparation of letters.Ensure the effective maintenance of all appropriate records, including HR systems and other databases.Support in both internal and external reporting requirements including participation in statutory and compensation / benefits surveys etc.Handles administration of leave, benefits and claims (maternity / paternity / childcare leave claims, flex plan Claims, etc).Prepare documents and issuance of letter for staff for offboarding. e.g. certification letter, insurance related, confirmation Letter, acceptance of resignation letter.Support the Payroll initiative for Asia, liaise with end users and HRIS for any system issue.HR projects as and when assigned.Minimum RequirementsDiploma or Degree (Business Studies / HRM) or equivalentExperienceAt least 5 years of relevant experience in payroll processing and HR Shared ServicesSpecific KnowledgeProficient in Times Payroll Software and/or WorkdayFamiliar with Asia employment related statutory guidelinesResilient, detailed, analytical and open to changesA collaborator with the mindset of providing good employee experienceExcellent MS excel skill, knowledge of PowerBI.Due to the nature of the work, proficiency in English is required, and Mandarin skills would be an advantage.At Thales, we’re committed to fostering a workplace where respect, trust, collaboration, and passion drive everything we do.
