Department: Human Resources & RecruitingLocation: Columbia, PA - PlantDescriptionThe HR Generalist plays a critical role in ASC’s Human Resource Department. The candidate needs to be a versatile forward thinking HR professional that has a passion for all HR disciplines and can serve as a subject matter expert. This individual will also develop strong employee relations for the site.How You Will HelpProvides a visible HR presence to enable / facilitate real time employee relations, engagement and solutions.Contribute to the delivery of key HR processes (e.g. career development, performance support, employee movement, leadership coaching, union relations, benefits etc.)Utilize HR metrics and people data to drive solutions based on trends and understand effectivenessDevelop solutions to complex problems that require ingenuity and innovation. Ensure solutions are consistent with organization objectives.Serve as subject matter expert on majority of HR disciplines – a true generalistProvide personnel policy and procedure guidance to employees and management.Collaborate with the human resources team to develop effective recruitment strategies and identify future staffing needs.Process complaints regarding sexual harassment, discrimination, or other instances of workplace harassment and assist in any necessary investigations and disciplinary actionsAdditional responsibilities and duties may be assigned.
