In this role, you will support a broad range of human resources functions, working closely with HR Business Partners to facilitate smooth HR operations.

The HR Generalist will serve as the first point of contact for employee and external partner inquiries related to HR policies, benefits, and procedures. You will be responsible for maintaining accurate personnel records, managing HR documentation, and updating internal databases to ensure data integrity. Additionally, you will assist with administrative tasks such as processing employment verifications, supporting onboarding and offboarding processes, and handling benefit-related issues. This position offers an excellent opportunity to gain comprehensive HR experience in a fast-paced environment, with potential for career growth.

The role is primarily remote within the US, with occasional onsite visits to Fairfax, VA.

QualificationsBachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field0-2 years of relevant experience in Human ResourcesAt least 1 year of experience working in HR functionsBasic knowledge of HR areas including benefits, leave of absence, employee relations, HRIS systems, payroll, onboarding, offboarding, recruitment, and talent managementProficiency in MS Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint)Familiarity with MS SharePoint, Teams, and OneDriveExceptional attention to detail and organizational skillsStrong interpersonal and communication skills, both verbal and writtenAbility to handle sensitive information with confidentialityExperience working as an HR Administrator or HR Administrative Assistant is preferredResponsibilitiesAssist with various human resources projects and initiativesComplete paperwork for employment verifications and background checksProvide clarification to employees regarding company policies and proceduresSupport HR Business Partners with administrative tasks as neededRespond to employee queries related to HR issues promptly and professionallyMaintain and update internal personnel records and documentationProcess Employment of Interest (EOI) documentation accuratelyResolve benefit-related issues and respond to employee requests in a timely mannerAssist with annual enrollment and benefits administration activitiesEnsure compliance with relevant labor laws and company policiesSupport onboarding and offboarding processes to ensure a seamless employee experienceContribute to maintaining a positive and productive workplace environmentBenefitsEmployee Assistance Program (EAP)Access to corporate discountsLearning and Development platform, including certification preparation contentTraining, Education, and Certification Assistance (for full-time employees)Referral Bonus ProgramInternal Mobility OpportunitiesPet InsuranceFlexible work environment supporting remote work within the USEqual OpportunityGovCIO is an Equal Opportunity Employer.
