Join our winning team of Wave Makers and Go Getters and help us write the next chapter in the SCJ story.SummaryReporting to the Global and APAC HR Operations Director, the HR Operations Manager will lead and supervise a team of Associate Managers, Sr. Associates and Associates within the regional HR Service Center to ensure delivery of superior service to internal customers in multiple countries and across a range of HR processes (e.g. payroll, employee data administration, customer service, call center, vendor management, etc.)This position will be responsible for managing the team’s areas of accountability, equipping team members with skills and knowledge they need to support the HR operations, monitoring team performance, driving continuous improvement of Tier 1 (Global & APAC) and Payroll Operations and implementing change initiatives.Essential Duties And ResponsibilitiesOversee the day-to-day operational activities of the team to ensure timely and accurate delivery of services (Regional, Global Tier 1 & Payroll)Coordinate team resourcing to ensure workloads are effectively managedDevelop and maintain strong internal business relationships to proactively identify, mitigate and resolve customer concernsCoordinate the implementation of system and process changes, quality controls and audit recommendations to ensure compliance with legislation, policies and procedures and continuous improvementReview and evaluate payroll vendors’ performance and recommend changes if needed. Build and maintain effective relationships with key stakeholders within HR as well as with key senior executives from each business / country supportedLead and assume overall accountability for services provided and results achieved by the Tier 1 & Payroll TeamEnsure the confidentiality, security and integrity of employee payroll and data records are in accordance with legislation and country specific policies and proceduresRequired Skills / Experience / CompetenciesBachelor’s degree in business, HR, or related discipline required10+ years of experience with 8+ years of Payroll and Employee Data Management experience (region specific)Skilled in effective leadership, people management, and developmentExcellent Communication and Customer Service orientationStrong process-orientation and process improvement mindsetStrong understanding of HR operations and Service Center managementAbility to influence, partner, and develop productive relationships with senior HR leadership and other parties to achieve necessary strategic goalsExecutive presence to interact easily across all levels within the organization in a tactful, mature, and flexible mannerAbility to work effectively in an environment subject to changing priorities and short deadlinesStrong planning, organization, delegation, problem solving, and decision-making abilitiesCan be trusted to maintain confidential informationPreferred Skills / Experience / CompetenciesHR Information System experience preferred, Workday and Service Now a plusProficient with Microsoft Office softwareWell versed in government policies, regulations, and procedures regarding employee compensationExperience in vendor selection, negotiation, and managementSelf-starter with a proactive and inquisitive nature who can anticipate and pre-empt problemsJob RequirementsFull-time, permanent employmentOnsite work setup (M-F); remote work once a week is available after 3 monthsWork Hours: 8:00AM or 9:00AM to 5:00PM or 6:00PM (Mondays thru Fridays); flexibility is required to accommodate occasional meetings across time zonesOvertime might be required depending on the critical deliverablesMust be amenable to international travel if necessaryThis role is not eligible for relocationBenefits & CultureSC Johnson is committed to providing a Great Place to Work for all its employees.
