About This OpportunityRegional Education Support Network (RESN) is a not-for-profit student run network that offers rural and regional high school students free educational support, such as tutoring, mentoring, and access to study resources. Our mission is to "empower regional students to take control of their future through our educational network of schools, tutors and communities.”RESN is currently looking for HSC Math volunteer tutors for 2025, to support rural and regional year 11 and 12 students. At RESN, we rely on our volunteer tutors to deliver quality education as we seek to bridge the gap in education inequality. Our tutors serve as mentors and role models to students, providing support and encouragement that extends beyond classroom content.About The RoleYou will be responsible for delivering high quality academic support through weekly video group tutoring sessions for 1-3 studentsPeriodically provide asynchronous support to students as questions ariseYou will work closely with other teams at RESN to ensure sessions are running smoothly and to identify opportunities for improvementAttend and contribute to a fortnightly team meetingAbout YouHave a HSE certificate with successful completion of HSC Math (any level) in band 5 or 6Have a valid working with children check, or are able to obtain one prior to volunteering commencementAre able to consistently volunteer 2-4 hours per week (of which fixed time tutoring will be 1 hour)You can prioritise creating an exceptional experience for RESN’s students and can contribute to a stimulating and supportive volunteer culture. Are currently in university, have recently graduated or have completed high school in the last 5 years.
