Calgary, Alberta T2C 4R6). The HSE and Fleet Administrator will be responsible for supporting Startec’s health, safety, environmental, and fleet management programs. This role ensures compliance with applicable regulations, maintains accurate records and documentation, and contributes to the continuous improvement of Startec’s safety culture and fleet operations.KEY PERFORMANCE INDICATORS (KPI):HEALTH, SAFETY & ENVIORNMENT (HSE) ADMINISTRATION (Weighting 60%)Support the implementation and maintenance of Startec’s HSE programs in compliance with provincial and federal regulations (OH&S, Alberta Labour, Transport Canada)Maintain HSE documentation, including training records, incident logs, and inspection reportsPrepare HSE-related reports, KPI summaries, and monthly dashboardsMaintain and update pre-qualification systems such as ISNetworld and AvettaRespond to customer bid requests and questionnaires related to safety performance and complianceCoordinate and track employee certifications (e.g., WHMIS, H2S Alive, First Aid, TDG) and provide monthly training updatesSupport internal and external audits, inspections, and WCB claim administrationReview pre-job hazard assessments for accuracy, trends, and opportunities for improvementFLEET ADMINSITRATION (Weighting 30%)Maintain and manage all fleet records, including vehicle registrations, insurance, inspections, and service historyEnsure compliance with all regulatory requirements for commercial and service vehicles (e.g., CVIP, driver abstracts)Support the acquisition, leasing, and disposal of company vehiclesAssist with onboarding new drivers, including training on fleet management systems and safety protocolsTrack and report on key fleet metrics such as utilization, maintenance costs, and fuel efficiencySupport the use and reporting of telematics/GPS systems to improve fleet performance and safetyCONTINUOUS IMPROVEMENT & SUPPORT (Weighting 10%)Identify and implement process improvements in HSE and fleet tracking to enhance operational efficiencyProvide administrative support to HSE and Operations teams as requiredContribute to internal communications regarding safety updates, bulletins, and best practicesQUALIFICATIONS:1–3 years of experience in HSE or fleet administration, preferably in a manufacturing or industrial environmentPost-secondary education in Occupational Health & Safety, Business Administration, or a related field preferredKnowledge of Alberta OH&S legislation, WCB processes, and Transport Canada regulationsStrong organizational skills with exceptional attention to detailProficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook); experience with safety or fleet management systems is an assetAnalytical, process-oriented, and customer-focused mindsetExcellent communication and interpersonal skillsAbility to work independently and manage multiple priorities in a dynamic environmentValid Class 5 Driver’s License requiredWe offer competitive wages, training, flexible, dynamic, and exciting work environment.We thank you for your application and interest in our organization.
