FlekkefjordHSE EngineerRole DescriptionA HSEQ Lead (Health, Safety, and Environment) Engineer develops, implements, and oversees the health, safety, and environmental management systems for a project or organization, ensuring compliance with regulations and promoting a strong safety culture. Responsibilities include conducting risk assessments, developing safety protocols, leading emergency response plans, training staff, overseeing contractor compliance, and serving as a key contact for regulatory bodies. The role requires strong leadership, technical expertise in HSE matters, and excellent communication skills to collaborate with management and project teamsThe position will report to HSEQ ManagerPurposeAdvise and support to various areas in D&W organization in all HSE related matters aiming performance improvement. Provide expertise and the necessary assurance of compliance with regulatory requirements and governing documents are in place within drilling units.ResponsibilitiesDriving the HSE work and the safety culture internally and towards drilling contractors and suppliers.Assisting the operations management in planning and follow-up of operations with regard to HSE.Helping establish and follow up HSE programmes and action plans (Ambition to action).Ensuring that required evaluations, risk analyses etc. are made as well as gathering, evaluating and systematising information.Helping ensure that governing documentation and correct work processes apply in drilling and well planning.Being a driving force and coordinator regarding the preparation of applications to the authorities and following up terms stipulated in permits/consents, as well as coordinating other regulatory correspondence.Assisting in coordination and follow-up of monitoring plan and activities. Ensuring systematic follow-up and documentation of case handling related to supervisory, verification and inspection reports as well as correct closing of non-conformities/dispensations and recommendations.Assisting in correct case handling, reporting of undesired incidents, recording of non-conformities/dispensations and application for dispensation and following up these tasks. Carrying out regular quality assurance of HSE data in Synergy.Following up HSE requirements in the contract with the drilling/well contractor.Following up the drilling/well suppliers and ensuring that they exercise their responsibility for operation and maintenance of the drilling/well facility.Coordinating emergency response planning, preparing bridging documents, as well as coordinating the table top (mobile drilling/well unit/vessel).Ensuring that the rig contractor maintains and updates the AOC or other statutory instruments (mobile drilling/well unit/vessel).Preparing for and participating in offshore management visits and other offshore related activities.Participating in HSE network, as well as assisting in HSE improvement work across the business cluster and the business areaRequired expertiseExcellent knowledge of occupational health and safety legislation of Labor Ministry (NR’s)Incident analysis and investigation techniquesStrong computer and software skills (HSE reporting tools, excel, power point, Internet)Knowledge of risk assessment toolsEffective communication ability and presentation skills.Excellent planner and organizer.Location: Stavanger and sporadic offshoreDuration: 01.12.2025 - 31.12.2026Søk nå
